Re: What is your favorite lube?
I find a problem with Lee's alox. There is no way to get the lube even in the grease grooves. Too much lube on one side can make the boolit out of balance. If you have normal grease grooves it is best to fill them evenly all the way around with a good lube like Felix.

This is not something I would worry about. The total weight of the lube is miniscule and most of it gets slung off going down the bore. I've been playing with Dan's design program and it has never shown as much as a grain lube capacity. Half a grain is more normal and LA should not come close to filling the grooves.

I'm using Felix, too. 2300 fp is the fastest I have pushed it and it worked fine.

What?? I thought there were only two lubes now days!! Felix and 50/50 beeswax and Sta-lube moly graph grease. These are like biscuits and gravy to me.

How hot do you get the Filix lube to get the consustancy of gravy? <GGG>
