A Different kind of case Filler?
G'Day Fella's,

I recently received a delivery from one of my suppliers and the box was full of a large, foam like beads (38mm Long x 16mm Diameter or 1 1/2" x 5/8"), to fill all the gaps in the box and as shock absorbers

Now if my memory serves me correctly, these Beige colored beads are made from Potato or Corn Starch and they will easily dissolve in water. I was wondering if any one else has had any experience in using them as a Case Filler with reduced powder charge loads in rifles. They can be compressed to a degree and they will Spring back a bit after this.

iirc they are made from cornstarch. and i have heard of them being used in 45-70 and 38-55 type loads.
remember they are making your case smaller and reduce your loads accordingly.
for the 45-70 the loads i recall were in the 45 colt powder range with 405 gr boolits.
