Gunshow adventure
Went to the local show yesterday. I have been salting money away with the idea of owning a 45 LC revolter. Saw 2 that had me interested if they would drop their price. Then I see a guy holding a NEF with a barrel that looked huge. I gave him the standard "you selling" and found that he had a 12 ga rifled bull barrel. Now this was on my list for the Lee slug mold I bought a couple months ago so it ended up in my truck. This was the first time I bought a gun for a mold. Some more walking and found a NEF survivor in 45/70. I've been considering owning this caliber for some time, yep it went home with me. Now I have to buy brass and molds for the 45/70. I could have walked out with a 45 revolter and my cash would have been gone, instead I have a rifle, shotgun, redot, sling, a box of store bought 45/70, and I still have cash. The moral of the story is you need to be flexible and have an open mind when attending gun shows. It's funny the last several shows I attended I left without a purchase then you seem to hit one that has a bunch of those "just what I was looking for" items. By spring I will own 45 LC. Of coarse new calibers means new dies, brass, and molds. This hobby never ends does it! ohshooter

"This was the first time I bought a gun for a mold."

Well, I haven't done that for a mould (at least yet), but I have bought a gun because I had some reloading dies for that caliber. Glad I'm not the only one.

It's probably a common trait. I KNOW you're in good company.

Not having a gun is such a waste of a good mold.

I bought a set of Lyman 9mm dies and bullet mold, loaded two boxes of shells. Lost track the shells for 20yrs. [Roll Eyes] Finally after 25yrs bought a 9mm. I wanted a browning High Power, but ended up with a Sig Sauer 226. [Cool] Never regretted buying the Sig. Reloaders do some strange things. To...... Many guns not enough money. [Big Grin]

Hi guys
I bought a 25-06 because I had brass for one. I just bought some used casting gear and I got some 44 moulds with it (guess what I need) oh and I bought a 45 acp over an abundence of brass. I see a pattern here and I am not the only one I see. [Big Grin]
