really heavy .458 mould?
Anyone know where I can find a mould for a .458" FN, 550g or heavier?

(To cut down on bandwidth, kindly reply to this thread:heavy 458 )

Thanks for the help.

B-be, Lee, Lyman, RCBS, Saeco/Redding offer molds in the 500gr.+ weights. Custom mold-makers do also, but the price is much steeper. Btw, there are usually many .457"-.459" molds offered on eBay virtually daily. ...Maven

A lyman 462560 landed here day before y'day off the eBay circuit. Nominal 545 gr WFN GC type. looks like great potential for hunting.also note that Western Bullet Co.in MIssoula sells this bullet RTU ,calling it the "Fist of God" bullet. Have fun with whatever you decide, Idabull

Ballisti-Cast lists their 45/70 WFN #1452 mould with Gas Check at a weight of 550 grains from wheelweight alloy.

Hope this link works: www.ballisti-cast.com

I believe that this is similar to the bullet that Jae Bok Young is marketing as the "Crater."

Hope this helps,

Try www.neihandtools.com - they have the catalog on line. Otherwise, you can easily have one made by any of a bunch of custom mold makers like Steve Brooks, Paul Jones, Dave Casey, Dave Hoch and many others. There are probably more custom mold makers making .45 bullets in the 535-550 gr range than any other bullet around.
