MFD375HH lead bullet load data??
Have quite a few hard cast, gas checked, 285gr bullets and having some trouble finding any load data. Any suggestions as to where to find such information. All input appreciated.

MFDThanks for the feedback. Have excellent source on quality cast bullets, bunches of powder, brass, primers, etc., and winter here, might as well work up some good loads for winter shooting.

mstarlingMartin,
Have used that bullet, which is the Lyman 375449, with 40 gr of 5744 for plinking and manual of arms training in a Win M70 SS Classic. Works fine. Is pretty mild.
Unfortunately, I cannot find chrono info on the load.

MFDMike,
"Have excellent source on quality cast bullets...," and that source is you. I think one time Chris was after some bullets and he got them from you and I ended up with them.

I uses this bullet a lot, and have tried different loads. I use Vithavouri powder.
With 40 gr of N120 ( which is close to Mikes 5744), it gives 1920 fps.
I have tried with 44 gr of N120, which gives 2100 fps.
With 55 gr of N135 it gives 2150, and with 58 gr of N140 it gives 2115 fps.
My favorite load is 55 gr of N140. This is a pleasant load at 1960 fps.
