Bren Mk1Re: How do you mark a mold cavity ?
I have an RCBS 2-cavity .270-130 mould which casts beautifully-consistent bullets....except that one cavity casts exactly ONE grain heavier than the other.
I haven't yet tested whether or not cavity-segregated bullets will group tighter than mixed bullets from both cavities. I sorta doubt it, but I marked one cavity with a TINY file notch dead-center on the meplat(nose)in one mould half. This creates a tiny "tit"; I don't think it's more than a few thousandths wide, but it is sufficient to easily identify the bullets.
Dang....projects, projects....I will NEVER run out of cast-bullet projects!
