Lee 30--210 HBC-A Molds

We shot the '329 modifed again in the 30/30 H&R Topper at 100 yesterday. Seven of eight made a comfortable 1.5" in very windy and gusting conditions. Previous trip that measurement went must marginally over 1".

This mold is modified to make the bore ride dia at 309 in my alloy. I believe the HBC-A with be a lengthened '329 of the same recut front driver dimensions... which have also shot very well at 600 otta my '03. This nose ogive has proven it'll take the transition from super to sub sonic velocity and retain it's accuracy.

Go ahead and sign me up. Still interested in seeing a drawing. Any idea on the time line? In the meantime I will play with the old Ideal moulds that I have here. What charge(s) have you been using with your modified '329 in the '03?

I probably won't get much range time in next two months here, anyway. Even though this is The Deep South (a far cry from Sturgeon Bay!!), these old bones don't take well to damp cold:-(

Bob I made the bore rider a driver at 309 for around .15" with a leade taper into the spitzer ogive.

Oldfeller we're in the process of drawing it right now. Tim drew both the 329 and 200 Speer to compare the ogive cones relative to potential BC. On paper it appears the 200 Speer will be the ogive cone as it has around a .06 BC advantage, on paper at least. This figuring a potential BC of a 1.25" 329 at .501 which is .08 greater than the recut 329 at 189 grs. That BC is .42-.43 in shooten tests.

How much those lube grooves cost us in BC is the Q... We're currently trying to get some knowledgeable input on the what those effects would potentially be.

Boils to the Speer ogive in the end methinks. How the numbers crunch in the end is what it'll be.

I'll get a group e mail to all the guys who spoke for one once the design is up on the net. As well as posting it on a couple forums. No one's gonna get passed by... I'll do my best to see to that.

Anyone can do same to order a mold. Price should be [not firm and don't hold me to this] around 14-15 bucks plus actual cost of shipping. I'm going to price out a nose punch too BTW.
