Bad Ass WallaceBest Cast bullet rifle - ever
Well the Springfield project is finally finished. I set out to built a rifle that would put a heavy cast bullet where I wanted it to go at any range up to 200 yards.
The first barrel (new) was a 2 groove war surplus that simply would not shoot cast of any design. This I replaced with a new 4/43 4 groove surplus one and with a Lyman 311284 it will print 2" 200yard groups consistantly.
For cast bullet silhouette, I can now pick the point on the target that gives the best knockdown, not just be glad to hit the darn thing!
