derfWelcome to the new guys
This is the first time I have started a thread in the Reloading section and felt it appropriate to do so with this as a topic. From what I have seen so far the "new blood" is going to make this section a great place to visit and it will be thanks to the people coming over from Shooters. Welcome guys,I for one am very glad to see you all here! derf

ChargarDerf...Thanks for the welcome. It is my hope that soon the "new guys" and the "old guys" will just become the guys. Everybody has alot to learn from each other and all cast bullet shooters are lead brothers.

walltubederf,
I extend "my hand" in appreciation to your cordial welcome. It's good to be here.
I'll be lurking more than posting. The old (not necessarily geriatric ;D ) Shooters site had been the tonic of choice for me the past two or so yrs. I'd have surely missed 'The Cast' of characters had they not reassembled here. What a fine group they are.
Before closing, do any of y'all AR folks drink beer, home made or otherwise?
With Regards,.....walltube

walltubeidabull-etal,
Why yes, I do know some people who actually drink the stuff. If memory serves me there was quite a thread on the Shooters CB board discussing the finer points of beer drinking. There was even a mention or two of poured projectiles.
I only broach the subject of beer for its' recuperative powers. Early in my convolecence I was warned that alcohol would intensify the effect of certain meds. Well now!! Did these medical people not think I wanted a speedy recovery?! Can you imagine that??
To be on topic, my Bell South retired chum who so generously kept me well stocked with lead sheathing, swears that beer alleviates his Parkinson's symptoms. Steady as a rock after the first six pints.Really.
My chum likes watching me metamorph ingots into shiney, grooved fat cylinders. Even breaks into song after the first 500 or so. Life don't get any better.

idabullWalltube; Last thing in the world i would want to do is ? someone elses choice of medications..But..must point out, fwiw, that the two cajun couples in Houma & Lake Charles who were our close family friends favored something of dark amber hue ,came in a bottle with a big bird pictured and the number 101 in prominent display.,

walltubeidabull & JDL,
The only brand of beer in La. sporting a "BIG Bird" that I am aware of is no longer serving suds. On the other hand, Wild Turkey 101's are big birds too

.
JDL,
Good to meet another La. lead head. Do you live near La's East Coast,

Gotta go Ya'll, Spouse needs to check her E-bays, or else.

Lar45I don't make beer, but the wife and I make a pretty good Mead, it's only second to our 40proof Blackberry wine. Now we're talking the nectar of the gods here.
