johnchI shot a deer last fall with the Dixie 12 gau Terminator ( sp) slug
730 gr at 1200 fps
The deer was looking at me at 45 - 50 yds
The slug passed through the deer lengthwise ( 175 lb buck )breaking a front shoulder and the pelvis and still had enough enegery to pass through a 8" Oak tree
I feel this was more penetration than I wanted , but it worked
