I would just shave it with a carpet knife blade, take a couple swipes on each half. I bet you wont need to remove much metal, and wouldn't have to take them out of the handles. Alternatively you could take a prick punch and stipple them, as all you should need to do is raise it enough for the check to grip. The boolits may stick a little in the mould though, but I don't think it would be a big issue.

Check the model number on your moulds. If it does begin with a "C", it is not designed to be used with a gas check.

I think you have it backwards, as "C" for Lee means gascheck I believe.



This is a gas check bullet... C309-150F.



Says right on the box, and has a gas check shank. The bullets casting out a .310, but the shank is way to small for a good check fit.



It's an old stock mold, that I can't send back.



Unless they will fix they're mistakes from the past. My .45 mold I can send back becasue I bought from Midway last year... I think..
