After so many replies, I am going to check the cheapest and easiest way to ship this tin. It will take me a few days because right now my work schedule it crazy, I will get to it.
I think UPS is going to be cheaper than US Mail?

If you check someplace like antimony man or buffalo arms you will probably find Tin at about seven or eight dollars a pound. There is a place locally that sells it for something between four and five dollars a pound, but you have to buy 85 pound blodks. One of our club members has been organizing about a group buy.

What about shipping. Can you get into the "one price for all you can get in the envelope" from the postal service? How much will fit?

Guys, 5 bucks a pound would be a more fair of a price for 100 tin. Radiator lead, 60/40 tin/lead, is about 2.50 a pound all cleaned up. Most car radiator shops will sell it to you in buckets, or just give it away if you clean out the tanks for them. We are talking 50 percent junk in those tanks, and it's a very, very nasty job. Buying it in buckets, junk laden, is worth paying for. Take my word on that! ... felix

And the cheapest way to ship anything small and heavy is in a flat rate priority mail envelope. I think it is $3 and change. I'd put ingots between two sheets of cardboard, tape and staple the edges, and shove it in the envelope.

If you'll go to $5 a pound plus shipping, I'll take whatever you can get in one envelope, likely 8-10 pounds. If you can get 15 pounds in, I'll take that.

Discussing the postal mailers, Trapdoor84 once opined the metal might best be poured into thin sheets and cut with a paper cutter to fit the envelope.

You could probably get more in the envelope this way without tearing it up.
