I'll try and post the photos later. I was able to recover the bullet which had shed all of its lead content. Yet, it still displaced a fairly significant weight, I believe, without actually putting it on a scale. A 500 grn bullet without its lead still has some heft to it.

graybirdI have a similar story but not about hog hunting. I was squirrel hunting with a 410 saw one squirrel shot once and saw two fall out of the tree thinking one must have poked his head around the limb at the time I shot. Walked over and picked up three freshly killed squirrels. That's right saw only one, saw two fall and picked up three. Don't ask me how this happened ... I still don't know today!

WhitworthGraybird -- that must have been a pleasant surprise! I didn't expect it either as I didn't see the hog behind the one that I was targeting. It's a good thing as every round of .458 sets me back a small fortune!
