I love AZ
So I have been vacationing in Tucson for the past week or so, and at the resort that I am staying at it is somewhat in the desert...and I have been feeding the Javelina each morning and afternoon from our balcony. It is awesome! They stink just as bad alive as they do dead...and they love cheetos and extremely spicy chimichanga leftovers.

I'll get the pictures up when I get back home.

I wish I was able to do this where I live because its a ton of fun watching them feed and raise the hair on their backs and fight/pop their teeth at each other.

I hate those little bastards when they come through and root up my garden. They can push right through chain link. Mad

If I thought I would get away with it, I would shoot them all, but my neighbors would report me. Except one, he would help. jumping

Nothing that a little lead couldn't cure!! What is wrong with neighbors? They rarely seem to get it! Big Grin

Justin,

Tucson's weather is so nice this time of year. Have you been to the SCI Museum? Great pictures, makes me wish it was January (archery season)! Those javies are really going to stink after what you have been feeding them ...spicy chimichangas... lol!

MyNameisEarl, sounds like you need a recurve archer... Big Grin!

lol!

Mary - I love the weather here! I played golf on Sunday at Starr Pass and it was a very relaxing day. My family and I were laughing for quite some time when we learned that everything I fed the Javelina was spicy! We said they were going to "jav" the chits rotflmo

I have loved the Javvi's so far. I think if I lived here there would be some hush hush hunting in the backyard. I think a large rock rolled over the edge and I could have gotten one Big Grin

I am glad ya'll liked the pictures...I am not on here as much as I use to be but I have slowly been coming back. I had a short fishing urge and Ive been doing that for the past month but now I am ready to begin scouting and reloading!

Thanks for sharing the photos. I thoroughly enjoyed them.

But now, you have to tell the truth: Were you really feeding them for the camera's sake or maybe fattening them up for later??? Big Grin

Really great pictures especially of the two fighting.

The little characters are a lot of fun to watch, almost as much fun as hunting them.

I am quite sure that having to live around them on a daily basis would get old really quick.

Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

Woofers: you're just smelling their musk gland. They taste great .We were taught how to process them as part of our classes in wildlife mgt at the univ of az .2 sets of rubber gloves and 2 knives after shooting remove the musk gland then set it away from the woofer along with the gloves & knife.Get the next pair & knife & gut the pecari.

So, does a diet of spicy Cheetos and Taco Bell affect the way an animal tastes? Big Grin

I also love Arizona, I have to hunt most of the year, and when I go to Arizona its on vacation and all I do is team rope steers for a month or so...Lots of ropers, its a ropers state, love it.

Besides that its a balmy 65 to 80 degrees when idaho is colder than a well diggers a$$ in Alaska...When you get my age you hate the cold.
