Bobby Tomekanother hog "berried" by my 7mm.....
Not much to tell: Stepped up to the kitchen sink, looked out the window and saw movement. One shot from 190 yards with the 7mm Bullberry and a 140 grain Nosler SB (lead-tipped), and this trotting sow was done for. The impact caught her mid-ribs and exited the center of the opposite-side shoulder, leaving a nickel-sized exit in its wake.
She was headed for the dewberries before she ran into the Bullberry...

dustofferBobby--those pigs aren't like the ones around here--they tell each other about the noisy stuff that goes along with the free corn--

Good shooting though!

georgeldBobby:
Seems like you get a shot several times a week don't it? Are there lots of pigs around there, or just a few that travel across that trail that you happen to spot in time?
One thing for sure, you've got that ranged just perfect. Keep it up, might have a fawn crop left someday.

Bobby TomekGeorge-They are forever on the move, so we can go weeks or even months without a sighting. But when they are here, there are certain travel routes they seem to prefer -- even hogs that have never been here before.
There is a narrow clearing that stretches for around 300 yards and is visible from both the back yard and kitchen window, and this one seems to get lots of activity on it. These are generally just incidental sightings as I rarely am able to sit and watch for more than a few minutes at a time.
I could probably bag more bacon if I could still get out there and hunt them. I really miss that.
