Hogs in north central US?
Are there any places to hunt hogs in the MN, ND, SD, IA, WI area? I know there are a couple ranches (like Ted Nugent's)in MI, but are there any other places? I'd like to stay away from canned ranch hunts if possible.

There has to be some sort of huntable hog population north of the Mason-Dixon line!! maxman

There really aren't any wild hogs to speak of this far north. Possibly in southern Iowa, but I think you'd probably have to go south to at least MO to get into good numbers.

I am from Northeast Missouri and grew up hunting in that area. I have never seen a wild hog in all my years of hunting.

You would have to go further south in Missouri to get a chance at a wild hog....at least as far south as the Ozarks, but farther would be better.
