I'm gonna be in Western NC over Christmas and will have my double with me. Anyone have recommendations on a place to hog hunt in the area?

Might be too far, but check out Chestnut Hunting Lodge [website]. I haven't been, but have talked to the owner and may make the trip sometime.

Hog season will be open in NC gamelands but they are hard to hunt without a pack of hounds and it really is hit and miss on seeing anything, steep and brushy
