GatogordoProbably at least as dangerous as hunting Cape Buffalo, and nearly as expensive, but a lot of fun.

Ten times more dangerous than hunting Cape Buffalo! Probably one of the most dangerous things you can legally do. Maneuvering a helicopter at low level in and around obsticals is dangerous especially while tracking ground targets. Doing it in a Robinson multiplies that by a large factor.
Robinsons have serious blade energy issues which makes them iffy at low altitude.

dustofferWhat surestrike posted is absolutely true---made my living flying choppers and the flight envelope for helicopter hog hunting is in what we call the "dead man's zone". When something bad happens to the chopper's engine, you better have at least altitude or airspeed but both is better--and much of the time hunting like this, you have neither.
