I just wanted to express my gratitude to all. I was sort of able to get a mental picture of what I am going to be dealing with. I leave on the hunt that prompted my question on Thurs. the 28th.
Based on what I have read here, I have no second thoughts as far as my safety is concerned. If I can't put a boar down with a 350 @ 2100 out of a 45-70, I deserve to "git got".

Good luck on your upcoming hunt. Just remember, it is more dangerous to be afraid of an animal. However, always have respect for a wild animal no matter how small it may be and you'll be good to go.
