Any Weight Guesses?
Just having a tough time coming up with a live weight on any of these 3--

More than 5 pounds, less than 10, that is for each.

Perfect size for the bbq. I agree with CHC. They are small

Hard to tell with no real perspective in pics, but I'm going to guess a bit heavier. I would go in the 15-20 plus pound range.

We are absolutely overrun with 5-60 pound hoglets at the moment. Several sows meeting an unexpected end seem to have contributed. I guess I'll have to shoot a couple in self defense.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

I'd love to get into a group of them that size with the 50gr tsx in my .223. It's like miniature big game hunting beer

you guys with the hogs just slay me - up here in the north country we don't have any feral hogs, just feral politicians - same thing but no legal to shoot

From what I am seeing up here in Archer and Young counties there is a bumper crop of small pigs right now. Don't know about your area, but up here the hog buyers are only paying like 25 cents a pound for the big pigs, 100 pounds and up and usually won't buy the smaller hogs so a lot of folks have cut back on their trapping activities.

There should probably be a season with limits on politicians, but so far, no luck. Wink

Butchloc:

It's a long ways, but if you want to come down and shoot some hogs, of any size, I can almost guarantee some success. To be clear, this is a no cost to your hunt, however, you'll either have to camp out, or stay in local hotel about 30 minutes away. Also, we don't have any cattle in my hunting area right now so the grass is getting quite tall, makes seeing them more difficult.

There are so many piglets running around, I've started packing a 12 gauge with 4 buck. They're pretty sporty with a rifle, but my ammo consumption has gone up dramatically!

They are pretty small. I agree with Gato.

Butch:

You are welcome anytime, but we're getting late in what I consider the best time of the year for hogs, which in our area is up to late April, early May. In general, the warmer it gets, the more nocturnal they become. So, if you're serious about coming, I'd plan on doing it fairly soon, or wait until fall.
