OK--it's been a week plus since I killed the big boy---here are his teeth plus a partial set from a "brother". Oops, the top two belong with the two in the middle below--

I'll be headed back to the ranch Saturday to re-check cams and see if more targets have moved into the big boy's now vacant territory.

My other place has a new group, and they had been in the trap 8 straight nights so tonight I'm baiting the trap heavily and setting it. We'll see if we have work in the morning. There are two more adults running in this group that aren't in this picture as well. They all need killin'

Well, they were back in the trap last night (but not all of them) and 2 died there. A third died on the run from a .22 LR.

Made a mistake and lesson learned---if you think there might be small ones, don't just blindly drive up to the trap---park a ways off and sneak up with the shotgun. All the piglets/shoats were outside the trap and it looked like a covey rise when I drove up. Could have nailed several of them if I'd sneaked in with the 12-ga in-hand. I popped the big sow in the foreground and another piglet took off but made a mistake---instead of heading away from me into the brush behind the trap, she ran right to left and when she cleared the pen, I rolled her with the Nylon 66. Then I dropped the other sow in the trap. Dragged them to the buffet, "de-tailed" them, checked the big one for buns in the oven (none surprisingly), and left them for the buzzards.

Big sow weighed about 120 I'm guessing.

Only three? and two producers
eliminated a couple hundred.
Pretty cheap for no more .22
shells than you burned.

If you would have sneaked in there prepared none would have been around. At least thats the way it happens with me! Good shooting!
