One for Doc

Ryan CampbellOne for Doc
I killed this sow on my friend Doc Gunn's place on the Brazos River near College Station, TX.
Doc is pretty much home bound now, he's 87 and doesnt get around like he used to.
The river has been up all summer and the hogs have been in his pasture and tearing up his grass field pretty bad. Doc pastures horses and needs the income from the fee he charges people so the hogs were hurting him.
Doc grew up in the great depression and doesnt waste a scrap of meat. He was also a Veterinarian surgeon as a younger man so he critiqes my work as I'm skinning/dressing the hog or deer as the case may be.
Doc keeps and eats parts of the hog I normally get rid of.
I shot this one with my .308 using a 155gr Hornady.

The Hunt goes on forever, the season never ends.
I didn't learn this by reading about it or seeing it on TV. I learned it by doing it.

If you go to the Photobucket page with the picture it has a set of boxes to the right with labels. There is one labeled "IMG Code - Forums & Bulletin Boards" just above the box which is what you can copy and paste directly into your posts. It starts .
