Got mine going, I didnt clear the brush. Let the pigs do it. I think they like this thing. Holds 20lbs of bait, and uses a compression fitting on the end.

Hogs will "worry" those pipes till they are empty

I've had big bores break 3/8" aircraft cable by worrying the pipe till the cable breaks. I always use at least one swivel in line now.

Watching a pig work a pipe is a hoot. They get at them pretty good and sure don't want to quit. I've got one they were scratching/tearing/eating the pipe away to make the holes bigger.

Cross L, these things are pretty easy to make. I've used 4" PVC pipe. Drilled 7/16" holes in the pipe. On one end, I glue a female piece. This is the fill end. When it's completed pour in the corn and hand tighten a cap into the female adapter. (Even hand-tightened, you may need a pair of channel-lock pliers to take it off.) On the other end, I glue a cap. BEFORE YOU GLUE THE CAP ON, drill a 1/4" hole in the center of the cap. Here's where the attachment point goes. With nuts and washers, including lock washers, I attach an eye loop. The I glue the cap on. On hooks a snap swivel, then a swivel, then the cable. VOILA! I'll try to remember to take a picture of one I have at the house in the daylight.

Some people put a few rocks in them to simulate the sound of corn to keep the pigs coming back even when they are empty. Even with a large pipe a group of pigs can empty it pretty quickly.

I can confirm after this weekend that Javalina will use the pipe as well. I didnt think they were strong enough, but I thought wrong.

Don't make the mistake I did. I used septic field pipe because it already has holes in it. I found out the hard way you can't glue PVC end caps to septic field pipe. The septic pipe is HDPE plastic and PVC glue won't work. The hogs pulled the end cap that was chained to a stump and emptied it (almost 40lbs of corn). I put several screws in the end caps and they're holding so far. There is a glue called Poly-Pro that may work but I couldn't find any.

Pig Pipes are awesome and work great as long as you remember the swivels

I do like was mentioned above put rocks/gravel in them to simulate corn. And have seen hogs continue to mess with it for hours after all the corn is gone.

Ive been using pig pipes now for many many years and its always proven effective system.

And they're not gentle with them. Sounded like Bigfoot was bodyslamming mine one night. They had broken it loose and we found it 50' away.
