nearly all the hogs I take come from private ranches{low fence} where they are destroying pastures and crops,I get a lot of yote places the same way,cept they are killin goats and calves.Or a least they are getting blamed for it! I've yet to see it happen!
I would think that .356 would do a number,never heard of it myself! I mostly hunt with a .243! I have larger caliber but pretty much get the same results with the .243 and it makes me take much more care for shot placement! I've shot a few with a hand gun in .357 max,bow and 7 mag!
