I go whenever the opportunity presents itself but ususally shoot only when its cool. Nothing worse than being in Brooks County Texas in August up to the elbows in hog guts.

DigitalDanI know of a 600# pig that died from a conflict with a .22 WMR. Fella that shot him near Yeehaw Junction, Fl. meant to kill him, so I guess it wasn't a mistake or fluke. Based on my own experience and habits I shoot 'em with whatever is in my hands, they die. .22rf to 12 ga. and a few rifle chamberings in the middle. They're not hard to kill.

C. A. PlaterMaybe a .22 magnum will do but I think I'll feel more confident using my .500 below.
