What size of pig?
We have a small population of wildbores her! I have rollbarrel with holes for corn and peas. And trees with wood tar on. This night I have visitors on 2 places . On one tree I pic a hair straw 13,5cm long , split in to 5 in the end. Does the lengd of hair say how big the pig is?
It is exiting for me to have a population of pigs here, and hunt in the future beside the game we have here now .

Matts,
I have pix of large pigs with short hair and small pigs with long hair. Nice thing about pigs. If they live long enough, they will get big. Especially if you feed them. Also, when you skin them and cook them up, you can't tell which one had long hair and which one had short hair. Good luck to you and yours. Please post pix of pigs you take.

PS: Shoot them on a line between the ear and shoulder, about two inches (5.08 cm +/-)
below the ear. They will be dead right there (DRT) and you won't have to track them.

Matts-

I doubt a hair sample will be a reliable indicator of a hog's age unless you have access to some rather sophisticated laboratory equipment.

If you have access to a game camera, that will help you find out what and when is coming to your feeders.

Welcome to the board, and here's hoping to see some of your hog kill photos very soon. thumb
