Need a shooting light that mounts on the scope. Possible shots out to 300 yards. Are there any out there less than $100?

GeedubyaFor under a Benjamin, no, to my knowledge. I stand to be corrected. For more, yes.

N E 450 No2I would say NO.
The best weapon mounted light I know of is the Sure Fire leopard light. It will not go to 300 yards.
IF you have good bright moon light and have a good Gen 3 NVD, 300 yards would be a stretch for it as well.
Best plan is to set up your hog shooting for 100 yards or less. The less the better IMHO. Been there and done that. many times, for hogs and bobcats.

LWD300 yards is a stretch for just about anything. 100 yards or less is more realistic. I have one of these
Browning Huntmaster VXT. Haven't tried it yet, but the green light focused tightly ought to be good enough for 70+ yards. They are pretty cheap on ebay.

LWDAnd if you buy one, be sure to get the newer VXT version. The earlier ones had some issues with overheating. Browning intentionally overdrove the LEDs to produce more light on the assumption that people didn't use their flashlights for an extended period of time. If you do use the older one for an extended period of time, like more than a minute, they start to overheat and throttle themselves down to prevent that.

Bobby TomekThe Elusive Wildlife Technologies (www.elusivewildlife.com) XLR250 will work to 200+ yards. I have one and love it. It cost me 139.95, if memory serves, but it comes with a charger, a spare battery and mounting hardware. I've used it to take several hogs and a few feeder-raiding 'coons, and it has not disappointed.

StonecreekYes, the "green" light from Elusive is the best one I've ever seen. My local dealer has plenty in stock, and I think they are less than $100, but can remember the exact price. You can give Bell's Home and Auto a call at (325) 576-3581. He's in Texas, but I'm sure he would mail anywhere.

WhitworthHere's another vote for Elusive Wildlife's products. I've used them over the course of the last year and am very happy with the way they work. I have used both the XLR100 and the 250. Here's one hog I shot last spring with the kill light mounted to the barrel of one of my revolvers.
Here is an XLR100 mounted to one of my rifles. I shot this hog with that set up.

williebThanks guys. Actually, 300 yards would be maximum shot. At night I will be
in the middle, so shots will 150 yards or less.

Jeff SullivanI have a Laser Genetics ND3 and have killed a few hogs using it. Works great but is well beyond the $100 budget.

WhitworthI like that extension tube! That said, I get a lot of burn time with the rechargeable batteries they come with.
