Jeff SullivanAnother One Down The Sequel
I pig hunt at least 3-4 evenings a week, but Thursday is shaping up to be my lucky day. I set up a ground blind this afternoon and got in it about 7:45, and by 8:05, I had another boar down. This one bottomed out my 200 lb scale, so I am not sure exactly how much he weighed. He wasn't near as big as last weeks though.
Again, I was using my custom Encore in 9.3x74r topped with an illuminated Leupold VXIII 1.5-5, and though I didn't need it, I had my Laser Genetics ND3x50mm mounted too. I actually changed loads today and was shooting a 285 gr PRVI bullet, 63 grs H4831SC, CCI 250 primer in a Norma case.

I have only killed a couple of pigs using it, but the LG light has worked well so far. In my limited useage, the animals don't show any adverse reaction to the light being shined on them.
