dustofferBack to the Stand--Bow In Hand
The hogs' schedule says they are coming every night, between 8:45 and midnight, so I'm gonna see if I can intercept them tonight as winds will be perfect, in my face.
Older pic but this is what I'm expecting:
I'll be posting updates from the seat---so stay tuned.

dustoffer11:20--had a medium boar about 25 yds away at 2 0'clock but he didn't come in---circled the pen about 20 yds back in the brush and wandered on off to the west--
Back another night this week.

dustofferMeant to post the hog schedule last night but needed to reformat it first---the red is when they have been in front of the camera by date and time. As you can see, last night should have been a slam dunk---but you just never know.
Most interesting part of the sit was all the company I had. When I got ready to take my seat, there was a baby walking stick on the cushion, about 2" long. Then after I got situated, bow on my lap, I see motion on my arrows--
Then I notice the leaves in the trees above me moving even though it was dead calm---eventually counted 24+ of the walking sticks in the two trees of different sizes. Here's the largest one I saw.
And, a couple of times during my sit, I felt some critter crawling up my pants leg---yep, they came to visit. Sure glad they are harmless.
I will be headed back Wednesday night most likely.

georgeldWow, rarely see more than 2-6 a summer up here
and none over 3" long.
How big do you think that one was?

georgeldThat's damned near big enough to eat!
Never seen one over 3" and sure nothing
like that guy, or is it a gal?
At least they don't bite us. I try to
treat them well and get them put back
out on a bush soon as I can. From what
I've heard they're bug eaters and hungry.
Thanks for the pictures.
Where's the hogs though?
