Wild day
Been seeing some pig coming to my deer feeders during daylight hours. Finally caught one this morning. He was walking down a path I shredded through the weeds and KR blue stem. I though he would circle around between me and the feeder, instead he just kept walking to my left. Like a teenager late for curfew he was picking up speed. I got in the front part of his shoulder and squeezed. On the shot it looked a little far back. He ran wide open with all four working out of sight to my left. Had to do some stuff with the cows before I could go back and look for him. There was no blood where he was on the shot. Walked the road and partition fence but no blood. Went to the top of the rise and noticed a furrow through the KR (King Ranch blue stem is an evasive grass from china). There was blood on the grass! Still took a bit of looking but found him.

Number two started 5 or 6 weeks ago. Got in the blind before the feeder went off and focused the scope on the feeder drum. Did the same for the binos but noticed a shadow in the feeder pen! Been here before, when the feeder goes off the pig takes off and never comes back. Quickly put the reticle between what I think is his eyes and squeeze. He does three tarpon leaps and out of sight. Waited awhile and went to look, no pig. No blood out of the pen either. Looked back to where he was when I shot and found two large pieces of bone. Brushed the soil and fire ants off the larger, it was a piece of jaw with teeth. The smaller was sort of round and soft on one side. Its tough to see blood on Johnson grass at night with a flashlight but I tracked him in a large circle back to almost where I lost sight of him. Next morning I did find where he left off but no pig. Today I reset the clock on the feeder and camera on this place and was leaving out. In the man's grazer patch stood a pig! I put the 257 Roberts on him. Guess what, its ol toothless! How he survived this long without a bottom jaw is beyond me. Skin and bone but still moving!

Back to the place where I shot #1. Feeder went off at 4:30 in the rain. At 4:32 there are pigs everywhere! I picked the closest, biggest one and put the 375 Ruger on it, down! Two crossed a sender behind the feeder and I was ready! Rugered another. Took all day but put 4 down!

Well done! I haven't seen a hog here since taking a large boar around 9:30 in the moonlight 2 weeks ago. My trigger finger is getting itchy, so I hope they cooperate soon. Smiler
