georgeldWow Larry that's twice as big as the boy.
Any chance you weighed it?
Tell the story now how it happened.
Pleasing to see you getting these kids introduced at a young age like you do.
Thanks much for sharing with us.

No, I did not weight it . I have shot well over a thousand hogs in my life . I can say without a doubt that this boar was well over 200 pounds.
I have not been to my ranch in 2 months . Too busy and traveling a hell of a lot. I got past my 5/31 deadline . I took off to the ranch with my oldest grandson. , age 10. He loves it .
I was watching the wind . Given the wind , I picked various places to check . We were in my electric Polaris. We could drive pretty close .
He shot another smaller hog earlier . We had seen about 40 head of hogs and maybe 35 deer . That is weird as I have a hell of a lot of game but for some reason, we rarely see them while riding around .
We were going to check one last place before we went back to the camp and exchanged his rifle for thermal equipped rifles. It was easy to get to . Walk up a road and peer around the corner . It was late and we were losing light quickly . I saw the boar and put up the sticks . He flattened him at about 75 yards with a 308.
I did not realize how big he was in the low light . When I walked up, I was stunned .
Interestingly , I passed this hog twice last deer season . I know he was a massive hog but I was buck hunting.
