a new hog hunter.....
I had a new pig sticking knife made for my grandson Dylan( just turned eight) and we got to try it out this week. I took him to south Alabama to Clarke Co , along the Alabama River , to hunt with a friend. Old style..dogs and knives.....
camp was right on the river...
dogs were ready...
The first day, Wednesday, was tough. We "earned" a couple of hogs but didn't get em. Very hard hunting, VERY hot, long running river swimming hogs.
Thursday we loaded the boat and eased across the river into an old oxbow lake. We released the dogs and were on a hog in less than an hour...
I drug the hog to thew road while Danny and Dylan went for the stashed four wheeler. Meanwhile the Catahoula hounds located and bayed another hog....
We had a three hour drive home today and Dylan talked non stop about how much fun he had...

georgeldstart 'em young and you'll have a hunting
partner for life.
Good to see it happening,
George
Dylan started hunting at a very young age. His grandmother took him turkey hunting before he was a year old, diapers and all

He killed his first deer and called up his first turkey at three. He absolutely loves to do anything in the outdoors.
