Horn-HarvesterSweet spot
I'm going hog hunting in SW Florida in a couple weeks. Its an archery only hunt. Ive been told of several spots to shoot a hog with an arrow, what spot do most of you aim for? What broadhead works the best on hogs? Thanks, H.H.

CaptJackarchery on hogs-
it's always best to go for a double lung shot. it's the largest target on a hog and most of us have had the most success sticking them there. hopefully you'll get a pass through
I use a 125grn 2 blade Zwickey Eskimo Black Diamond broadhead. extremely hard- (you can shoot them into cider blocks) they hold a great edge- they blow through bone!
I have them on 33" Easton 2117 XX78s. and I shoot a 55# recurve at 31"

Horn-HarvesterThanks Capt Jack,
Im shooting 29 " beman carbon hunters with a 70lb bow. ive got some 115 four blade muzzys, 160 grn thunderheads that i thought of trying. ive been told the shot will be less than 20yds so pass-thru should be easy. my hunting buddy told me the hogs are just coming off the acrons so should be just about right when i get there. thanks again, h.h.
