Got "the call" from the guy who runs cows on the hog hunting place I love so much. Said he reset the feeder timer and filled the feeder, and that it was time for me to hang it up 'til after deer season.

Oh well, there will be hogs galore come January!!! And, in the meantime, I'll be sitting in my stands about 2 miles down the road just in case the hogs get a case of wanderlust!!!

A little change of scenery for a few months might do you some good, don't despare too much over it. Good luck on the new stands.

Well at least you still have a place to hunt hogs. I will pretty well be shut down soon until Jan. myself.

Well I can still shoot a few while deer hunting I guess.

Are ya'll running hogs with dogs and is that why you are being given a vacation?

Jeff-the place I hunt is a friend's land, and I just do "control" for him. He has the hunting and grazing leased to another guy who hunts it and firearms season opens around Nov 1st so he wants to give it a rest until then. If he kills his deer and stops deer hunting earlier, then I'm back at 'em.

Jeff, this part of y'all hunts with dogs. Folks don't appreciate us running dogs on their land during the deer season. They will call us afterwards to get the hogs off their land.
