Live OakRound Two
NOAA showed the wind to be right for my place tonight. We had to be out of town and did not know if I would be back in time to hunt. So I just sat last night. NOAA changed and showed wind to be good last night also. Was gonna stay to 10:15. 10 PM the world get quite! No dogs barking, kids yelling and the traffic slows. I don't know if all that matters to a hungry pig but it seems that's when they show. Sure enough at 10 on the dot 3 small boars walked the lights. Two were cruising the left side and a taller lankier one the right. The two on the left crossed and I go greedy and tried for a twofer! One went down but the other two ran out the left side of the pen. Before I could reload the first got up and ran! That's what greed does! Shoot a pig at 10 get home at 11. Went down and one of them did not go far with lungs and blood every where. Found the jumper not far, maybe 150#. No blood leaving the pen on the left. I looked alittle but needed to get home. Pigs eating corn move maybe they unlined as I shot.

georgeldYep, that happens when trying to double up.
Better luck next time trying that.
At least you got this one, that's a start.

packrattusnongratusI still say congrats. It has to be fun to get them in the act of eating in their greedy nervous way. Packy

crshelton"Doubling up" reminds me of how rewarding it is to drop a sow with piglets or a coyote with pups.
Many for the price of one!
