Did not watch all of the video Bill, but from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE on SEVERAL occasions, a Javelina call will bring the things in, ready to fight, Been There Done That on more than one occaion!

He has one come within a couple of feet toward the end, Randall, before our boy realizes it's a human he's about to charge ...

Bill, I have been in a few situations where the Javelina did not CARE that it was a human.

During my life time, I have been in on the killing of close to 200 Javelinas and they will attack if given the chance.

friendly ain't they !!??

That call is great...…….very effective.

It'd be great sport with a handgun.

Handgun and archery are the best/most fun ways of hunting the little guys.

Sure looked like he was gonna get bit.

That would have been a blast with a big revolver.
I need to do that sometime.

100% absolutely.

I feel like a scoped centerfire rifle is taking too much advantage of them. I would love to go to Arizona and spot and stalk archery hunt them or perhaps patched round ball muzzleloader.

Looks like a revolver hunt for them would be a fun time!

I was very priviledged to have guided several hunters, including AR members during the time I offered the Guided Javelina hunts in Pecos county during thev 12998 thru 2011 time frame. I miss it and wish I could still do those hunts. I met a lot of really good folks and enjoyed watching them be able to get out and actually hunt something, even if it was only a Javelina.

I wished that I was still able to offer those hunts but I will always treasure the memories.

Randall, I used to enjoy your Shoestring Safari Web site -- and Javelina University.

I am working on hopefully putting together a "Reunion" Javelina hunt this March for a client and his family from New York out on the ranch at Fort Stockton.

Javelina's are the neatest animal to hunt, especially if you get out and do it on their terms, and the Trans-Pecos of Texas is my favorite part of the state.

So much for plans being shot down.

This should be Randall's last post.
Gonna miss him!
