Hey, I'm getting pretty lucky at this leftover tag business! I drew a leftover fall turkey tag this year, and now a leftover Javelina spring tag.

Hunt is for 18B general hunt, which means I can use a rifle, and don't have to use a handgun. I gotta put in for the time off tomorrow, the hunt's Feb 18-24.

Now I gotta make up my mind what rifle to use? Maybe my 6 TCU Contender carbine, or maybe my Stevens 223? Don't think I'll take the 308 or 30-06, and even the 257 Wby mag will be a bit much. Maybe my 257 AI Roberts? So far I think I'm leaning towards my 6 TCU.

Anyone else draw a tag?

My son and I drew general season tags for unit 33. Close to home and will day hunt. If I had my choice of your arsenal.... .257 bob improved would be at the top of my list. I do have a soft spot in my heart for all things quarterbore. God bless.
