dustofferContinuing Trap Success
Sat two nights this week at two different places. Heard hogs all around at this place but no shots. But, these little hungry freeloaders found themselves in a pickle this morning.
we discovered the new trap is tall enough you can't comfortably shoot over the wire, so backed the truck up to the wire and stood on the tailgate to do the deed.
15 shoats in all, with a solo standing outside the trap when we arrived---couldn't get the gun loaded in time and it ran off. (I know, I know--Rule #2 -- Never go into the pasture with an unloaded gun

) This makes 42 in this trap plus 10 "buns in the oven" from two sows since we put the trap up 6 weeks ago.
So, it was climb into the truck and begin --
Loaded them up (granddaughter helped out), hauled them to the buzzard buffet.

dustofferUnfortunately, my list of "hog takers" has shrunk to one so if I don't need one or Paul doesn't, the coyotes, buzzards and caracaras get fed. All of these were "PPP" or Perfect Pit Piggies too.

georgeldHell of a deal. Same size as my hunting partner
in Fla paid $100 to shoot.
Girl looks sad, was she crying?
Quite a cull job on that bunch. And only one
got away?
Shoot 'em with a .458 or .22 this time?
Dandy looking trap too.

dustofferShe is sad because spring break is over and it is back to college. She's a piece of work--loves to shoot pigs--either solo or in the trap.
Best part of the trap, other than it was free, is that it works!!!!

dustofferThis is a test to see if Photobucket is working again--
Well, looks like it is--they reduced the "ransom" from $400 to $4.85 or so per month--
