DFW is waterlogged to the point the the river bottoms are hard to traverse --
vehicularly at least.

Bobby TomekThere are a few areas that didn't get nearly as much -- including the area of Lavaca County where I reside. Last week, we got just under 1.5".
Nonetheless, everything is greening up quickly. Of course, anything would look green compared to the widespread brown, parched, scorched look the terrain has been saddled with for a long time now.

shanksponyHow many months do you get rainfall like that? and whats your yearly average?
Is it good for the hunting, or does it spread animals out and make them harder to find?

dustofferSeguin-30 miles east of San Antonio-4.5" in 3 days last week, but my hog spot about 20 miles further east only got 2-3" max, and no run-off into the tanks.
I think our annual average is around 30" but it isn't divided into 12 equal increments. Sometimes it rains, and sometimes it pours-like in October '98 when we got 18" in about 24 hours.
