Gut Pile Visitors II
I field dressed the last sow I shot and set the game camera over the pile out of curiosity. From the pictures, had the same coyote from last summer--the mangy one, plus a healthy one. They also don't like to share with the buzzards.

Man I get a kick out of those buzzards! I bet they make quick work of the gut pile.

Something like a gut pile, which is nearly all soft tissue, is gone quickly. The head, which I also left, takes a bit longer, and the coyotes drag them away.

Next time I do this, I think I'll set up in a fallen treetop about 150 yds away and pop one of the coyotes.

Nice Pics!

What TC is it that took the photos?

I think it's definitely time to break out a caller the next time you are there!

Here's hoping the next photos I see of these coyotes have your rifle laying next to them... Big Grin

Trailcam is a Cuddeback Capture. I have two of them, 1 is two years old, and the other is a year old. Zero problems with either, good battery life, pics are not perfect but fine, and it has an amazing trigger speed. I'll post up a picture of a mourning dove it took--in flight.

This dove was in-flight and the camera was 12' from the feeder in the background, so the trigger speed must be pretty fast IMO.

Bobby--just have to check with the rancher to be sure he has no objections to me calling/shooting coyotes. Wouldn't want to lose my privileges here.
