glocker17My biggest hog of 07'
have not posted in a while by wanted to share a pic of a hog I got at the end of 07' weighed 290lbs though looked and felt much heavier when I tried to get it in the truck. Fell to a single Barnes 53gr X from my 220 Swift. It was DRT.

glocker17Saw this pack of turkeys earlier in the day. They got so close I decided to take photos, rather than ruin meat with the swift.

WhitworthExcellent pig, Blake! That's a big SOB! When they get that big, they are hell to load into the truck. Good job, man!

600 OverkillThat's a darn nice old boar. But you guys can't be killing them with varmint guns

. Makes some of us feel like under-achievers

glocker172008 will be the year of the 45-70. I am retiring the Swift for a few months to try something different. Loaded up some hard cast 405's. Will post results.

WhitworthThe .45/70 loaded properly can be good hog medicine indeed! I like hardcast bullets! Keep us posted.

Rodney H.{500Jeffery}Thats great hog, especially taken with the .220 Swift. But for myself I don't feel over-gunned using a .375H&H because dead is dead. Besides range time I like to battle prove my rifles one at a time and hogs just seem to be the most common year-round varment to fill the bill and the freezer. Rodney.

Rodney, that's exactly how I feel. I like to give all of my waepons a try on hogs, but I'm slowly starting to favor my .338 win mag over all others. And I agree that there are no degrees of dead!
