Wild boar hunting in Washington state?
Hi all,

Does anyone know if there are there any wild populations available to hunt in Washington state? Not talking about fenced or ranch hunts, but on public lands? Thanks.

Regards,
Brian

I'm in western Washington, and I remember hearing about this on the news. I just about died when I heard the news chick say, "Officials say that any rifle adequate for deer will be adequate for hogs." or words to that effect. Behind her was a picture of some logger standing in front of his trailer with a dead hog strung up.

Here is a link to the most comprehensive write-up I've ever seen on the topic. http://www.seattleweekly.com/2001-10-10/news/hog-heaven.php

The Seattle Weekly is a pretty worthless left-wing rag - I wouldn't bother calling them for more information. You might find something if you called the editors of Hunting & Fishing News. You can get it at most convenience stores and gas stations.
