hunted some dry country yesterday with my nephew Matt and Jacko one of his mates. We took 14 betweeen us. I used my greener double, Matt a 243 and Jacko a 30/30.
Had a great day with a couple of long shots taken with the double.
Very hot at the moment but received a bit of rain late in the arvo. Heres some pics Cheers Mick

GeedubyaGood stuff Mick.
You've got braggin' rights for sure.
The porkers at my place have not been co-operating lately.
After 8 years, maybe they've gotten wise that if they poke their head out it might be the last time.
Seeing some small stuff, but most of the big ones are not coming out during daylight.
Here is one I wouldn't mind zapping.
Wonder if I'd need a silver bullet for this zombie hog..........
Anyhow, looks like you and your buds/mates are doing all the good.
Hope you keep on posting as I very much enjoy seeing your stuff.

georgeldHi ya Mick:
Man those shells look like they'd fit a 12ga from here. You shoot that double because you like it, or think those pigs need the extra whack?
Thanks for sharing, great pics as always.

264wm spitzerGeorgeld, they are about the size of a 20 g shell. Pigs dont need a cal of this size. Its a new rifle so its getting a bit of use and its alot of fun. Also hoping to bump into a decent buff with it.
The calibre is .577 2 3/4 light nitro. Shooting woodleigh 650 RNSP and solids @1750fps.
Took my 7x57 featherweight for a run the same day ,it stayed in the gun bag.
I would have appreciated the featherweight on the second walk as the double weighs 11lb. Heres a couple more pics cheers Mick
