dustofferGoing for a Sit Tonight
Since the big sounder (25+) has moved in, I am gonna take the 12-ga tonight and sit in the bow stand... Report to follow on any carnage resulting from the 3" magnum #4 buckshot.

dustofferHeard thunder while eatng supper and when I checked the weather radar afterwards, it was obvious I wouldn't be hunting tonight. Now it will be Sunday and Monday--

georgeldBet you guys don't know much about NEEDING Rain!
Up here we usually average 10-12"
a year, that includes what melts from the
20" or so of snow we get.
Last year it was overly wet: 13" by now.
This year we've had: 3.77" so far all year.
Compare that to what you've had.
My well has been down so much I shut it down.
No matter where, I do hope it rains unless it's
too wet already.
Have fun though whatever you do.
George

dustofferWe are in the second consecutive year so far of rainfall about 1/2 of normal, so it is really dry. One of my landowner friends is talking about selling off his herd--
And, it is a good thing I didn't go last night---3.25" came down.

dustofferIn the ambush seat now, surrounded by animal sounds (cows) plus the coyotes’ evening serenade. Not as hot as it has been but very little breeze. We’ll see how things work out.
