Cape KuduBushpig Hunting
Here in the Eastern Cape, South Africa we have the Southern Bushpig. Here is our
news article of a young hunter who is our current Bush King at Blaauwkratnz, he hunted this pig in the moonlight the previous night and there was much excitement.

DeonHunting bushpig on a bait is very successful, as long as the wind blows in a steady direction. They are creatures of habit, so once you get them coming onto your bait on a daily basis, the chance of getting one is very good. Not really difficult, but admin in that you need to get out there everyday to put out fresh bait. You just bait them stupid really..

Eardley RudmanThe last bushpig weighed 62kgs or 130 odd pounds.Typically an adult weighs from 50kg to 90kg(200lbs).I have heard of some going over 100kg's.These probably lived in a mielie(corn) field.
Very intelligent animals are bushpigs. All the predators in Africa took care of honing their intelligence, ferocity, hearing and smell.Their one weak point however is that they need high a high energy diet. They are predators too.

K EvansJuan: If you are looking for a good bushpig hunt over bait, contact Eardley at Blaauwkrantz Safaris, I have hunted two bushpigs with him and if there is such a thing as a bushpig expert, Eardley would be the man.
