Work On The Trap
Hogs numbers are growing and I need to get the trap going. But, the weeds were nearly waist high inside. So I climbed in with the weed eater and knocked them down.

Next job is topping off the feeder and when traffic gets regular, I’ll set the trap and catch a bunch (hopefully).

Hard to tell but those look like what we call horse mint. Bees love it. My dad always said red bugs and seed ticks love them!

Horsemint is correct—and I didn’t pick up any itch bites. For some reason, and I am most thankful, there are few chiggers in this area and in the 20+ years here not a single tick.

Out yesterday after returning from a trip to Rocky Mtn Nat’l Park to mow the shooting lane and weed-eat inside and outside the feeder pen. That was a tough hot 2 hours but now when I go for a sit, no way they can halfway hide in the tall weeds. Winds will be perfect for sits Sunday and Monday.
