Corn Field Hunt

duckmanCorn Field Hunt
Went the other night to hunt some cornfields and a freshly planted peanut field. Found hogs in the first cornfield about 1 am and ran them around for two hrs and didn't catch a thing. Finally loaded the dogs and was going to the other corn circle when we passed downwind of a brushy hilltop between the circles and the dog box erupted. Stopped and let them out and we caught three shoats one after the other. We then went to check the peanut field and found nothing.By now it was close to 4 am and we decided to make one last trip through the center of the second corn field. The Irrigation system was on and across the road so we went past the pivot system and let out all the dogs except the bulldog. I had seen sign in the road from the night before . All of a sudden a dog barked and I thought we were in business until they quit and came back smelling like a skunk. I loaded all the dogs except Buddy and Heyena( stagxbull) because they were gone. Then in the adjacent harvested wheat field I heard a fight going on, no squealing or grunting just an occasional bay from buddy . When I got there I found Heyena caught on the ear and buddy behind the front shoulder.
