A giant boar has been shot in the UK in an area where it has been known for several years that there was a very large boar around and it might have finally been taken. The boar in this area are from escaped pure Eastern European stock and this animal may have been on the loose for 11 years.

It weighed 234kg and had 20cm tusks and it apparently scored 123.7 CIC points which makes it a new UK record by 1.2 points.
