crsheltonThanks Crazy.
This was my most exciting hog hunt so far. Shot this boar in the head from creek bank from about 9 feet while it fought chase dogs. Such hunts really fire up the dogs and hogs(and the hunters).
MUCH more fun that potting one from a deer blind from 100 yards away! One of our hunters was charged by his boar as it exited the creek bottom, but his .45-70 double settled that one at about 15 feet.
This was the second visit to the Boars Nest this year and will not be the last; just waiting until the weather cools some.

crsheltonTwo .45-70 DRs
My Beretta and one with exposed hammers that had never taken game and being fired by a first time hog hunter. A hunt to remember.
A busy and fun day. Will do a separate post when all pix are available.

crsheltonFred, the hunter with the big hairy brownish boar wrote a hunt report and some really good pix just arrived. So, I will give you a link to the current version of the report and add more pix to that tomorrow:
https://www.levergunscommunity...opic.php?f=1&t=72379 PS Fred used a lever gun AND shot the largest boar, so he won the honor of writing the report.
Enjoy!
