VX-7 Durability?
Anyone used a Leupold 1.5-6x24 on anything that has 375H&H+ recoil?

Have Leupold VX7, 1.5-6x24, but mounted on a light kicker, a 257 Roberts.
Leupold's strong point has been building durable scopes, so I'd give it a try.

I hope the VX7 can handle 375 recoil. I have a couple VX1s. One lives on a 375 H&H and the other a 416 Rem. Each scope has experienced several hundred rounds each and still working perfectly. Never had a single problem with any of my Leupolds regardless of model. But I am comforted that if I did, Leupold would be there to take care of it.

FWIW, I had a 1.5x5 Burris mounted on a 339WM for a number of years w/o a problem. One aside, I was switching the scope over to a 300WM and found one of the screws had broken. As a safety precaution, you might want to consider having the rifle re-tapped and going with a bigger set of screw.
Additionally FWIW, I've had the Burris scope on the 300 now for @ 20 years and it's still ticking.
I would imagine if Burris can do it, so can Leuy.

I have a 2.5 x 10 x 45 VX7 on a light weight 340 Weatherby which may have more kick than your 375. No issues! I suspect that the model you have noted 1.5 X 6 X 24 would be less effected due to its lighter weight.
